Thanks for the heads up @Pawnerai
Chavet Size 6 (95mm/3.75in King) is officially back in production.
Interesting. I am curious if quality will be as bad as what we've seen recently in other threads for their other models.
Now if they would only remove the lump from the queen's head
+1. Vintage design would be great! My size 5 is similar to the 2000 WCC set with the ball on the queen. It is better than the nipple of the current design but not nearly as good as the vintage design.
Quite right. And if they marketed it as the WCC set they would be sold out in seconds.

@Fer8799 and @Bamboo58.
Authentic new (modern made) Jurabuis Chavet Chess Size 6 sets have been available for sale for 2 weeks now since I posted. Come on, you're not trying hard enough! LOL Part of the fun in collecting is the search. No? When you go fishing in a boat, would you rather catch the fish yourself? Or have someone give you a fish.
Last I checked, Jurabuis, the manufacturer, does not sell directly to consumers so do not bombard them with eMails using Google Translate.
Just checked the <xxxxxxxxxxx> website. As of today, November 29.
Chavet Size 6: King 95 mm, 3.75 inches.
Unweighted, Unfelted. Available.
Unweighted, Felted. Available.
Weighted, Felted. Sold Out.
All I ask is to not post the name of the store/website here on the public forum. They are a small shop. And do quite well at their one physical retail location. No need to swamp them with numerous International orders cleaning out their Chavet inventory. Happy Hunting!

They have just started to produce again in number 6 but with the modern design?
OMG, that's really disapointing...
What will the latest number six look like?

According to JURA BUIS they have not restarted the production of nº6 pieces. So maybe this little shop you are talking about had some stock or, it was a joke?
@Pawnerai Is the below the one you were referring to? Did you order a set? If so which size 6?
Did I order a set? Heck no. What's that saying? "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Until more people buy modern Chavet sets and post images of the quality and workmanship, I have no interest in purchasing another modern Chavet set.
FYI: As of this morning, November 30. Chavet Chess No.6 sets:
Unweighted, Unfelted. Available.
Unweighted, Felted. Sold Out.

No that's the old picture they're still using. It has that ball for size 6.
That's too bad then.
This particular store uses the same exact product shot for all their modern Chavet Chess set sizes from 0-6. Judging by the proportions and "blobbiness" of the features I'm guessing the generic image used is of a size 3(?).
Size 6 is like your size 5. The current size 5 is big nipple yes.
At least it is the sphere. I prefer that over the nipple. Oh well! I guess the B210s will remain outrageously expensive.
Even if modern Chavet did bring back the small ball finial on the Queen, you still have to contend with the quality control, workmanship and wood selection of the pieces. They unabashedly see themselves as a toy company nowadays. Which is perfectly fine. There's nothing wrong with that. But as a collector, it's teeth gnashingly frustrating. I've said my peace in detail about this in the past. I won't rehash it here. I wish them well and hope they survive.
I have it on good authority that after 4+ years, Chavet Chess pieces in SIZE 6 is officially back in production. I guess they finally got the memo at Jura Buis, France. Check the usual EU shops for updated stock in the coming weeks/months if you have been looking for set.
I don't need to remind everyone that the wood quality of modern Chavet chess pieces is hit or miss. So buy at your own risk. Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up.
