I have The Leap PQ9907S and love it.

I actually also own one of these.  It is certainly a good clock for being so low priced.

It does have some aspects that could be better.  For one instance the display is not as large as a number of other models.

There really are not many clocks at all on the market that are truly bad.  What we see is the higher priced clocks have some aspects to them that are, in some way, nicer than the lesser priced alternatives.

I myself like the leap and used it in the US SENIOR last year and was great. Better than my N/A DGT for sure. It serves a purpose in that price range.

I own both the Chronos II and VTEK 300 chess clocks, and in my opinion, the VTEK is superior in virtually every way.

For example, little touches in the VTEK hardware design such as the two-line display, multicolored LED lights, and separate battery compartment all add up to significant improvements over the Chronos hardware.

The software, though, is where the VTEK really shines. The clock is so easy to program that you may never need to read the manual. Additionally, the VTEK has features that are just not available on the Chronos (e.g., upgradeable software, separate USCF/FIDE modes, and a unique tournament director mode). While the Chronos software is completely adequate, it is much more difficult to program (i.e., I find that I have to reference the manual or YouTube video every time I change my usual settings) and, as far as I know, the Chronos software has never been updated.

If the higher price of the VTEK (about $40-50) is an issue, go for the Chronos. It is a fully capable chess clock with excellent build quality. If, however, you are looking for a modern clock that is well built, easy to use, and upgradable, I feel the VTEK is well worth the additional cost.

Where do i get the firmware upgraded for the vtek300. I call and no one answers. I can't complete the RMA on the website. The website won't allow it. Sent several emails and no one replies. This used to be my favorite clock. I wanted the firmware upgraded because of the increment bug.

I've decided to not invest anymore time and energy in this,  and just cut my losses, maybe try and sell the clock to recoup as much as the  **$150**  I spent on the defective product. From my experience, i find the company  unprofessional, unorganized, and I don't have confidence dealing with them. Considering their lack of quality control and poor customer service, I don't expect them to be in business very long anyway.

Update, Visualtek took care of the issue and the clock works as designed now. I received a letter from them with an apology, I sent the clock off, and they updated it,waived the update fee and extended the warranty, and paid for quick shipping turnaround.

Yes I own one. However they are discontinued. Got mine before they discontinued them. I enjoy mine along with several other chess players. They like that you have to push the button down instead of the touch button.

Thanks. There are a bunch of Saiteks in eBay and I was wondering if I would purchase one.
