chess for blitz

I dont know why kings are 3.5" not a standard 3.75" & dont see why this size is ''perfect for blitz''. For me, I wouldn't buy a set with a king this size. (I have sets 3.75" for play and 2.5" for travel and analysis and no other sizes)
But I do like that there is a new idea there and he is trying to improve some aspects of sets. And I hope he keeps trying and coming up with new ideas.

The owner claims amateurs buy the Bobby Fischer Ultimate v3 set, and professionals buy that one… lame and unnecessary take, in my opinion.
I’d rather not deal with excessive glare from their glossy pieces, which most “professionals” would probably agree with. This attribute alone means they aren’t FIDE or USCF compliant. Add in the fact that they’re made of metal, and you have two strikes against compliance. FIDE also mentions that only bishops may have opposing color finials, so there’s three strikes. Perhaps the owner’s logic or argument against the v3 set doesn’t make much sense… ¯\_(ć)_/¯

I have a set and I like it. The weight is good and plays well, especially in cat 3 hurricanes or small tornadoes. The zippered case with handle is very convenient. Overall quality is excellent. And yes, the pieces are shiny. A few thousand games or a good Gator Sanding Block (Fine) will fix that right up. King finials can be swapped, so "strike three" really isn't.

I have a simple weighted wooden set which works well for me. I personally don't like the shiny surface by those pieces, but I do understand that weighted pieces feel good to move.
If you like the look and don't care about standard or other peoples opinions, go for it.
