Chess Genius App & New ASUS Nexus 7 (Android tablet)

I know the Chess Genius app from using it on my iPhone and am very pleased with it, and hope to use it on my new Android tablet.

At the Google Play site:

I get the message, "This app is incompatible with your device."

Device information is:

ASUS Nexus 7 (mini tablet)
Chrome 28.0.1500.64
OS: Android 4.3.0; Nexus 7 Build/JSS15Q

Perhaps the current OS version (Android 4.3.0, or the "Nexus 7 Build") isn't compatible. Of course that's a problem with OS upgrades sometimes.

But maybe someone here will be able to shed light; I did email the app's author. IIRC there was a hiccup on the iPhone when iOS 6 or so came out.

Update: It's evidently the same for numerous apps, including "Chess - Play & Learn" (from Chess.com), C-Span, DirecTV... so I guess it's likely a problem with this version of the OS or the Nexus 7 build. Will report in the appropritate Chess.com help forum also regarding their app not working, in case they need to update something or maybe they know the problem is not with the apps.

Hey, DrNyet.  I, too, have a Nexus 7 (first gen) with Jelly bean 4.3 and have no compatability issues with Chess Genius.  I have Genius also on my Samsung Galaxy S2, no problem.

So it's a mystery why you're having this issue.  But now at least you know that Chess Genius runs fine on a first gen Nexus 7 with the latest Android OS.  Good luck.

It turns out that there's an issue with my tablet; long story short, I'm finding numerous "incompatible" apps and after talking to Google, there is sn issue with my country not registering or being indicated properly.
