I actually prefer descriptive notation. Although I think your right it takes alittle time to get used to.

I just bought a book by Andrew Soltis, as recommended by Daniel Rensche. The notation is the old style of chess notation. I can barely read it! I guess it will take some getting used to, but I'm sort of annoyed.
