Chess on the Titanic ...

Just a little too macabre for me. Although extremely rare wood considering what happened to most of it

That's for sure there can't be much more of it.

@ronbo710 I would have thought wood from the Titanic was as rare as a mariner museum in the Praires. Hoe do you find these unicorns?

You can get your very own Titanic-themed pieces. http://tqbart.com/titanic-chess-sets
This is going to be an enjoyable thread!

It gives me a sinking feeling.

Hi Brian I just typed in Titanic and chess and it came up. I really didn't want to find a set made of the wood from that poor ship however. I just thought there must have been some fabulous sets on board.

As long as one of them isn't Leo Dicrappio.

Don't worry, Kate Winslet killed him when she let him go.
I have always wondered if any great Jaques sets found their way aboard the Titanic before her ill fated voyage. The only reference to chess and the doomed ship was this rather creepy discovery ... https://www.justcollecting.com/titanic-memorabilia/titanic-chess-board-made-from-wreck-wood
