Does somebody knows what kind of pieces are the horses on this image:

They look like chavet (french) knights.

I bought a similar set on:

http://www.ajedrez-webstore.es/chessmen/48-chessmen-staunton-europefse5.html

Although I don't recommend it, as it is not weighted and it is not very stable for my taste.

If you are interested, if I were you, I would try for a chavet set in a french e-shop.

Best regards

Yes, szociofoto is rigt..Chavet chess Knights.

Chavet chess pieces, only the Chavet 6-7 have stability, because of the big bases.

This pieces are the pieces of one of the World Championships Karpov-Kasparov, and Kasparov-Anand, and for years the set of the great Linares Tournament. This Knight is Used in Sevilla 87 Karpov-Kasparov set. Simplicity.

The actual "German knights" ( What is that?) are in some sense "sons" of that Knights.

Some photos of my chess pieces, and Kasparov in action

Best Regards

Najlepie kupić sobie szachy magnetyczne. Wygodnie się gra i ładnie wyglądają: http://krol-franek.pl/shop/szachy-magnetyczne/

Note the Knight's lower jaw line of the highly coveted Chavet vintage set is more swept down and forward. If Chavet re-issued this EXACT shaped & sized vintage set they would stand to make a MINT.
