Is there some software I can down load that will allow me to analyze and store my games on my I-Mac?

Chess King is not a true Mac product, it runs in a Wine Bottle.

This nis from the manual.

"We've partnered with CodeWeavers, makers of the popular CrossOver Mac product, to create this special Mac-friendly version."

Codeweavers sells a proprietary version of Wine.

ChessKing runs like garbage on a Mac, and that was on my MacBook Pro. When confronted about it, they denied it to me until I showed them proof then they finally agreed to give me my money back.

They try and sell their product a a "Mac" program when in reality it is not. They are dishonest and no one should give them their money. They lie.

ChessX is similar to Hiarcs Chess Explorer but is absolutely free. I have built a version for the Mac from the latest code at /www.box.com/chessx.

Thanks, didn't realize that.

An app called Chess Studio is available for $2.99 through the App Store. Not sure if it's what you need, but it might be worth taking a look.

I got the Chess Studio app for my Mac, and it does indeed allow you to analyze and store your games. It includes Stockfish 9 and gives you access to databases of the games of many GMs, past and present.

It was a bit tricky to figure out how to save your games. You have to first create a folder on iCloud. A desktop folder won’t work for saving your games. But when you create an iCloud folder it will be duplicated on the desktop area of the app.

ChessX is far better than Chess Studio and is free.

I've been happy with HiARCS. It's not free, but its user interface is reasonable and alternate engines can be used.

One sensible option if you have time (I didn't when I purchased HiARCS) is to try the free stuff, and if you don't like it or find it too hard to configure you have the option of a commercial product.

If you don't have time but do have a few $ then HiARCS was purchase, download, install and start using. (Some years ago when I had less time and more $. happy.png)
