Im looking for a chess software which allows me to analyze my games, make new variations and so on. Right now Im using Stockfish application, but it doesnt let me create variations and also does not show comments.

So, my question is, which is the best free alternative for mac users?

ChessX works well.

ScidvsMac is free, works great and has lots of great features. ChessX is good too.

I use ChessKing and love it. It is the best supported piece of software I've ever seen.  If you have a question, just send it to Diego (the owner and developer), and he gets back to you very quickly with an answer.  There are also some great videos available on their web site.

Well worth the money (about $85).  Since buying CK I no longer want a PC just so I can use ChessBase, I love ChessKing.

Thanks for the tips. I downloaded ScidvsMac. It does the trick for me.
