How good is your friend? The reason I ask is because there is already a built-in chess program for Mac OS 10.4, but it is sort of weaker than rybka or shredder.

I use & love Shredder 11, but Vektor is also nice & only costs a fraction of the price of Shredder.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good chess program for Mac. I have a friend who runs a Mac and is interested in getting back into chess, so I figured this would be the best place to help him out. I have seen that a number of the programs are just for PC. Any help would be appreciated.
