1.How do I play against an engine in chessbase?

2.How to make an opening repertoire

3.How do I set up an endgame position so that I can train them in chessbase

Or is chessbase just a database and not a training tool?

Or just send me links to a manual

You didn't try looking yourself?

I Googled "chessbase 12 manual" and this was the first link that popped up:

http://chessbase-shop.com/download/Programme/ChessBase12/ChessBase12Manual.pdf

It's all there... all 326 pages.

I don't own Chessbase,  but I know that you can't play against an engine with it.  I don't think you can set up an endgame position and train with it either.  I bought Fritz 13 for a very reasonable price,  and you can do those things in Fritz with no problem,  and still use any Chessbase databases/products in Fritz,  as well as any free or open source chess engines like Critter or Stockfish.

As far as making an opening repertoire,  here is a youtube video that may help with that.

Just press Space man!

Activate the engine by clicking "default kibitzer".

Then, whenever you want the computer to do the move the engine is pointing out, just press Space.

About creating an opening repertoire (on a player):

About position, there's a down arrow next to New Game saying position.
Click there, choose the pieces you want and where you want them and then you do the Space thing I explained above.

Cheers!
