I prefer a monitor with a good height. Widescreen monitors are great for video playback. But when there’s text such as all the lines on variations or analysis on Chessbase, I would like the information to be clear and legible rather than be too fine and dense to be readable. I also prefer use a second monitor where I can keep a separate full window open rather than cram multiple windows into one screen. I’m more productive, effective and efficient that way.

I’m thinking of buying a new monitor. I want to use it on my laptop. I am wondering what you think is the ideal size for running chessbase. 24”? 27”? Ultra wide?
Would you use additional information on the laptop screen?
Any experiences on this subject are welcome.
