I spent my tea tips on a chromebook in order to provide official support for these devices. I ran into some problems with Bluetooth and Millennium that seem unrelated to my code. Is there anybody out here that has tested or can test Chessconnect on Chromebook with Millennium Bluetooth? USB works fine. Maybe it's just my chromebook.

Jörn, first of all, thank you very much for your work, it's great what you are doing for the community.

Then, sorry for my stupid questions, I found it easy to use your Chrome extension on a Windows PC, and I'll try also the extension on Android using the Kiwi special browser, but cannot find a similar way to run the extension on the iPad of my daughter and she wanted to play tournaments on chess.com so Chessconnect it's mandatory to be used.

Secondarily, it would great if also on chesskids your app could work since my daughter is only 10 years old and she plays regularly on the protected network of chesskids.

Hi Andrew,

Chessconnect does not (yet!) run on iPad or iPhone. It's on my list but it is certainly going to take a while. Apple is putting some larger obstacles in my way. Techincally and financially.

As you are the second to request Chesskids, that's now on the list, too.

P.S.: "so Chessconnect it's mandatory to be used" - I love that sentence!

Thanks for your fast response!

So, I'll teach Matilde to use laptop + Chrome or Android + Kiwi and Chessconnect. It is better to avoid iOS, from a technical point of view, like I'm in my professional life, better Android, Linux and then Windows take care!

Hello,

I have a question...

Is it possible to play with a DGT 3000 or DGT pi clock connected to the DGT board and have the times appear on the clock when I am playing online in chess.com?

I can play in this site with bots and online using my DGT smart board but the clock is not working...

I dont know what to do...

it will be possible with the next version 3.3 of Chessconnect, which I expect to be released within this month. It is not yet possible with the current version 3.2.

This is indeed an interesting request and enhancement, that I would second. First of all, vielen Dank for your great work @joernupbde! But now my problem: since the update yesterday, my air + stops connecting ( chrome, win11) after 2/4. It says "SecurityError: origin is not allowed to access the service." That was not the case before the update. And I'm not able to follow the tip. what cqn I do?

You mean that in the next version, it will be able to see in the DGT3000 the opponent move, right?

I have a DGT Pi and in this version of the Chrome extension I can´t see anything in the clock screen. Maybe my cable to connect the board to the table is not working properly...

Version 3.2 does not handle the DGT3000. Version 3.3, which will be released later this month, does. And yes: when your opponent make a move, that move will be displayed on the clock until you make that move on your DGT board. Then, the clock will switch back to showing the remaining times.

I just sent version 3.3.16 out to the beta testers. If and when they give their concent, the new version can finally go public. 🥳

Should anybody else be interesting in participating in the beta testing, just sent me your email and I will give you the link to the beta. Those who already have the link, please feel free to share with anyone who might be interested. Just be aware that I will only notify those on my list, when I start working on 3.4 and the beta becomes unstable again.
