When I think about it, I've had this once. If I remember, I disconnected the board from the machine, the clock from the board then did the reverse.
I tried this, but it didn't help, unfortunately

Wondering if it's possible to change the voice used by the app. I had a wonderful female voice, but now a not so good one. If it can be changed, that would be great.
I've just seen that Lichess are beta testing a new android app. It looks promising. Would this be something that chessconnect could be applied to in the future?
Lately chessconnect hasn't been working for me with puzzles on chess.com. It connects and lights up the squares if pieces are in the wrong position, but it just won't register moves. It was hit-or-miss with this before, but now it seems to be completely "miss." I'm not sure if this started happening with 3.5, but it has been within the last week. My board is a Chessnut Air.

Does anybody else have this kind of problem?
What time format are you playing?
Are there any specific restrictions on time formats?
Not really. But chess.com uses a whole lot of different ways to display the time. I almost certainly did not cover all of them. I put your problem on (rather short) list of known bugs. I'll look into this in the next few days.
Did the sound for the beep get changed?
I could have sworn the beep used to be an actual beep, but now it seems to be like a note on a piano.
Am I crazy or did the sound get changed?
Shall I bring back the beep? I personally found the beep a little bit too agressive. But I usually use knock on wood, too.
Btw, I am happy to add some other sounds if I get them.
Nah, no need to as I can use the knock-on-wood as well.
I usually used beep as the "beep" was distinctive, the current sound got lost in the Chopin I was listening to while playing today.

It worked again for me this morning, so I guess it's not worse than before.
Is there some kind of pattern? Like "it does not work when black is to move" or something similar?
None that I can see really. A lot of times it stops registering moves if I get a move wrong and then move the piece back, but sometimes it does. Other times it works for one puzzle but not the next, but again, that's not always the case. If I can determine any rhyme or reason, I'll let you know.

It's bullet 2|1 on the screenshot. It was just for a test. Usually I play with 30 mins time control. Haven't tried it with the clock yet, though, but tested 5 and 10 mins games - it didn't work
