I just tried the DGT 3000 clock with my DGT eboard through chess connect and the clock didn't display the times correctly, nor the moves. I also do not have the proprietary board-to-clock cable and am using a mm cable I have laying around. Could that have something to do with the incorrect display of times?

Normally plays on lichess without any issues. Testing on chess.com also works generally well, except the clock must be turned on before starting the game. On lichess, the clock can be activated after the game starts, and it will synchronize correctly upon the next move. On chess.com, if the game begins before turning on the clock, the time appears after the first move but is displayed incorrectly, and increments keep adding inaccurately.

As long as your cable consists of three wires and has three separate pins on each end, you should be fine. It is important to have the clock set to option 25. I.e. "25" should be visible in your display and should not be blinking.

meanwhile there is a new problem in the chess.com section of the Phoenix version:

the username and password in the login window is no longer saved, so I have to enter the data everytime new

chess.com made some significant changes to their login screen. I will come up with an update as quickly as possible.

For the Phoenix:

Version 4.4.8 fixing both the keyboard and the login problem has been submitted to Millennium for approval.

My DGT3000 clock shows the first move of a game, and thereafter it counts down on one side of the clock regardless of whose move it is, with the other side's time never counting down. It also never shows any moves thereafter. Could the problem be with my board?

never experienced such behaviour in any of the 3 platforms chessconnect enabled, if you have tried different pc/OS system, as well as other software, ie chessbase, fritz, lucas chess? if none of them work then guess have to test all hardware, maybe start with cable, then clock then piece & board.

@endangerP: This sounds like the problem @OddGM is experiencing. We digged into this and as far as I can tell, Chessconnect sends the correct commands to the clock. He was planning on investigating further on his own. But I do not know, if he found anything yet.

@joernupbde, thanks but my chessconnect extension works perfectly with my DGT clock and board set, was trying to offer my 2 cents to @RoderickGorbyFSU

I'm using MacOS running google chrome. I can see the first move displayed on the clock, but then no moves thereafter, also the times are incorrect. I realized there was a message at the top of the play-play screen to the extent of "no DGT board detected". I then went into the settings in the play mode and deselected the DGT option. Now, I no longer see the message saying there's no board detected. However, at the end of any game I played prior to deselecting this, the result would be announced 3x "white wins, white wins, white wins". Now it only says this twice. I wonder if my board is getting messages 2x from chess.com? I closed all my other browsers and restarted, but no luck. I got the same clock behavior: wrong times, only shows the first move. If I turn the clock off and back on, it will show the most recent move and then the wrong times.

@RoderickGorbuFSU: This is most likely a bug in Chessconnect. Or Chessconnect failing to circumvent a bug in the DGT firmware. The repeated win announcement is definitely a bug in Chessconnect. However, since it does impede game play, it is not that high on my list. Since my (and almost all other) DGT3000 work fine, it is hard for me to reproduce and track down this problem. Nevertheless: you can try and send me a console log (as explained in my troubleshooting video on YouTube). Maybe there is something there.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but with Kiwi Browser discontinued, what's the plan for Chessconnect on mobile? I know there was talk of a native app, but I don't know when that is projected to be ready. There is also Microsoft Edge Canary that supports Chrome extensions, but I tried it and there are only a few actually available.

Hi,   I would like to know if it is possible to connect the Millennium eOne via ChessConnect in such a way that I can use it to play through games in the analysis section on chess.com, play out individual positions against the computer, or solve chess puzzles.   Is this type of integration currently supported, or are there any workarounds available to achieve this functionality?   Thank you in advance for your help.   Best regards, Harry

This will be addressed by the Chessconnect app for Android which I am currently writing.

That is all supported by the current version of Chessconnect. Let me know, if you encounter any problems.

@all: I am currently on a two week camping/hiking trip through the Scottish Highlands. So, please bear with me, if my response times are somewhat slower than what you are used to.

Enjoy your time, and many thanks for your tireless work to help the chess community.

@joernupbde: Thank you so much for your support. Have a great time!

@joernupbde thanks for your excellent work. ChessTempo is an extremely useful site to improve tactics and calculation. The problems are far from being obvious; they are demanding according to the difficulty level. Maybe you can consider integrating ChessConnect to ChessTempo as well. Best wishes. Santiago

@Santino1973 I added ChessTempo to my list of requested sites. However, I am currently pretty focused on getting the Chessconnect app to work. So, it may take some time.
