What version of Chessmaster do you use? I've been using Chessmaster 4000 Turbo since 2004, actually 2011. It's the program that got me "digging deeper" and really interested in chess. Before that, my chess-playing and/or understanding was "skin-deep." I can run it on Windows XP using a simple technique.

I don't use Chessmaster very much anymore, but I have versions 9000 and 10th Edition on my Windows 7 PC. I also installed CM 4000 Turbo on DosBox, although I haven't used that one yet. I think I also have CM 2100 and CM 3000 on DosBox.

Nice talking to you again, EscherehcsE. This is my new account. I'm still having trouble against 1300's and 1400's. frustrated.png They are stronger than their ratings suggest, it seems. Anyway, how many classic games Chessmaster has on 9K and 10th. That's always been my favorite feature of Chessmaster 4000 Turbo. Apart from being annotated, you learn about the history and development or advancement of chess.

If I counted correctly, the number of classic games are:

CM 4000 Turbo - 502

CM 9000 - 824

CM 10th Edition - 832

(I did not include one duplicate game in CM 9000 - The infamous Polgar-Kasparov game in Round 5 of Linares 1994.)

I hope that helps...

Thanks for the info. Well, my plan was to finish the Chessmaster 4000 Turbo's Chess Mastership Program 2018 and publish Millano Mystery Training and Millano Mystery Tour DVD's... I mean PGN, before I would play live games here. It never happened as I prematurely play live games here now. sad.png
