I got mine yesterday, it was delivered after 7 days. I bought it from their online store for 170 € (free shipping to Spain and 10% discount with the code CHESSUSEE that you can find at the end of one of the video reviews of their website).

What a great device! very addictive. After several years of playing online chess its wonderful to match real people and enjoy playing with real board and pieces again. This is by far the main reason for me to buy it. I was about to get the eOne (207 € in Amazon.es) but I happily checked some reviews on the Chessnut Air (like this one, so thanks @AbundanceEd and the rest of user for sharing) and I think I made the right choice.

The chess set has a perfect handy size for its purpose, nice plastic pieces (a little weighted, it seems) and an excellent board made of wood and covered with a finely embedded plastic layer. Great finish, nicely packed. The leds work very fine (one per square is enough). The Chessnut Air runs flawless for me using both Chessnut app and White Pawn on Android (Lichess so far).

I think using an eboard greatly improve the experience of playing online chess, and the Chessnut Air seems to be a reliable and very affordable option. I'm very happy with it so far happy.png

Has anyone had issues with Lichess integration via the iOS app?

Have you updated to the latest iOS app?

I still can’t decide whether to buy Pegasus chess board or Chessnut Air. Any recommendations will help me greatly. Thanks.

Hey everyone,

I ordered the Chessnut Air and now I am "patiently" waiting for it to arrive happy.png

Question: I love to solve puzzles on chess.com. Has anyone tried it already? I guess it should work with the board right? And the full piece recognition would also be an advantage in this case.

I purchased the board, along with the phone stand/piece bags, and carrying case directly from the Chessnut website. The first two items arrived fine but I have not received the carrying bag. I received an email from them saying my complete order had been delivered. I have sent them multiple emails and tried the chat function on their website to try and clear this up, but they haven’t responded. (I checked my spam folder.). They don’t publish a phone number, either. Do any of you know of a phone number for them? Have any of you experienced similar problems?

Sorry you didn't get your bag, mine all came together (same time) but I got it at rollout.

They are a small shop so maybe give them a few days to respond?

This is what playing a chess.com bot is like with the Chessnut Air. Pretty much flawless with Chessnut's app. This game is in "real time" from beginning to end.

Do you put any pressure (to push down) on the pieces when you move them to a different square?

No.

Not at all. For me it was even the other way around, in fact I had placed a piece almost on a square and at the last moment I decided against this move, but since I had almost touched the square, the board's sensors already registered the move. Conclusion: It reacts very quickly and accurately happy.png

Currently I have a small problem with the board:
I often play on chess.com (against bots and also against online opponents) and have locked my phone a few times when playing against bots (i.e. lock screen) because I don't need the phone at all and don't want to see it while playing, but then the Bluetooth connection seems to disconnect after a few moves. So it seems like I always need to have the phone unlocked. Do you guys have this problem as well? Is there a solution for this?

The phone probably needs to be on for the app to work.  As for the solution, just put the phone face down or in your pocket?
