Chessnut Support - Kickstarter Funded Evo Not Working

I was a supporter of the new Chessnut Evo in August and it finally started shipping. I received the Evo this week and it will not power on or charge, it is basically a dead unit. I have sent multiple emails to contact @ chessnutech dot com to try to return it or get a replacement, but they do not respond. I am curious to hear about how other Chessnut customers get the company to respond to support issues. Is there an alternate email that gets their attention?

Maybe on Facebook ?

I would suggest using contact@chessnutech.com. I've found them to be very responsive with this email address.

Thank you, I have been trying that email address. I had a typo in my initial post when I referenced the support email address ... which I just edited.

If that doesn't work, you could also post on the Chessnut Evo Launch Facebook page - the company has been very responsive there too:

For the very few issues I have had since I got my Evo in October (first batch) support has been through their email.
Between my Air and my Evo I may have had to contact them 5 times total, they sometimes take a few days to respond but they have always been helpful.
They are a small company and they may take a week to get back to you.

@jimsav444 , your problem has been solved ?
If so, it would be fair to write it here.

I am happy to report that the Chessnut Support Team was very helpful in resolving this issue. It took a few days to get an initial response, but after that we went through the troubleshooting / verification process and they issued a replacement Evo board.

@Jaskeleton - the Air is just the electronic board that connects to your phone, tablet, or your computer on chessdotcom and Lichess with the excellent Chessconnect extension in a browser to play online.
The Evo is a board and tablet in one self contained unit that you can play on line with, you do not use your phone as it is all done with the integrated Android tablet.
The Evo is about 3 times the price of the Air.
