Chronos Clock Settings Help? :)

I have a Chronos clock and was wondering if there is a setting on it that would allow the time to be reset each time a move is made?

Example is a player has 10 minutes to play his turn, when the time ends it is second players turn with 10 minutes. When you press the button to pass it resets to 10 minutes regardless of time left on the player clock.

thanks

What you're describing has also been referred to as "rapid transit."

30, 40, and 50+ years ago, in chess clubs a bell would ring once every 10 seconds.  The bell signified you now had to move.  If you didn't complete your move before the bell stopped ringing, you lost on time.

There are different brands of Chronos clocks and some of them work a bit differently and have different modes and features than others.  Look for a mode called chess byo-yomi mode I on it.  (Page 25)

Mode:  Chess byo-yomi Mode I:
Description:  Modified go timing.  If a player moves when his main time has gone below the byo-yomi time, the clock will set his main time BACK UP to the byo-yomi time.  For example, if the byo-yomi time is 0:10 and he moves with just two seconds left, his time will be set back up to 0:10.  A player's clock will not run out if he can move in the byo-yomi time when his main time gets to zero.

However, with this clock you can't use a byo-yomi time of 10 minutes.  The maximum is 9 minutes and 59 seconds.
