Chronos vs. DGT for kids

I'm buying either the Chronos FX or DGT 2010 - and, in part, I want it not only for my own OTB games, but also particularly to use with my kids.  Any thoughts as to which might be best for me to purchase?  I'm thinking of the Chronos touch model having no moving parts at all - and if my kids are playing with it, that might be preferred vs. the DGT.   Has anyone any experiences with the DGT style rockers and kids - particularly anyone having durability issues?

For other reasons I think I'd prefer the DGT clock overall, but this is one last consideration I want to have in mind.

Other than the durability issue, I also am certain to want to play games with handicaps for my kids - e.g. I get 15 minutes total for all moves, while they might start with 30 minutes and add a 10s per move increment.  I assume both DGT and Chronos clocks allow setting of very different time controls for each player - but if not, I would like to hear that, too.

Thanks,

Todd

The Chronos is very durable. I once had my car broken into while my chess set was in there. I later found the Chronos in the woods near the parking lot (out of its protective case). One of the buttons was missing (the buttons are made to come off in the button models), but after getting a replacement button ( a couple bucks) I still use the clock today.

Setting handicap time controls is very easy with the Chronos. It's probably not hard with the DGT either, but I've never set a DGT personally.
