I dont't think that one is better than the other. It depends on what you want to do that specific day. Personally, I like analysing and learning openings on my DGT connected to either a Pc or to my Android phone.
If I don't understand a position or a line while I'm studying it, I simply click a button on my connected device, amd the engine helps me. To that extent, having an electronic chessboard is even of too much help. In the sense that you end up using it too frequently, instead of using more frequently your own brain. That said, buying a DGT for me was one of the best things I did, chess wise, since much time.
Is it better to have a classic chessboard or an electronic one?
I think the price of electronic chess boards is very high and that you can play on chess.com with a classic board.
