Can someone explain the reason for the mysterious deletion of chat columns?

Recently whilst playing chess with opponents we have frequently chatted.

The record of the chat remained in that column .Now in recent times the chat appears to have been deleted.

I have established from opponents who are my friends that they have not been responsible for erasing the chat.

Strange to say the least.

Strangely enough I have spotted some full records in the daily chat columns retained from start to finish in the particular game.

A conspiracy of bots perhaps.?

What are they doing with the money from all those subscriptions?

I don't play daily anymore so can't really test it

Staff said the issue is fixed and another member stated their chat is working. I said should since I haven't tested and there's always the possibility that it's not fixed in all instances.

well shouldn't they just not code in bugs that are going to be features i guess?

There's no such thing as bug free code in complex software.

havent you allways looked down on people using php and or javascript? or .net or c# or only on webcoders?

Companies with much larger numbers of programmers and budgets orders of magnitude greater than the site put out code that has bugs. Once the project is large enough, is dynamic, and accepts inputs, any updates have the potential to create unexpected issues. Code iterates, updates happen, bugs get fixed, and new bugs appear.

oh yeah right i forgot about new bugs not getting fixes. but how about something simple as.

I too am unable to view any chat messages in any of my games. They just show as blank. I can submit a message but then after I do it doesn't show up for me.

i don't have a problem to try and start a chat with someone.

You're still seeing issues on Daily games? App or website?

Both. Although I was able to get a message through just now, so maybe there was still a hiccup? I'll come back if it happens again.
