Nice set! Congrats!
Columbian set

@wids88, love the Colombian set and the board as well. Interesting flare to the rooks. Appreciate you sharing this with us! Nice!!!

The decoration on those knights and the angled crenelations on the rooks are really nice! But what's also catching my eye are those bishops. The eastern European shape with a miter cut is an unexpected combination (at least it's one I've never seen before), and very cool!

Every time I pull this set out(I rotate my playing set every week or so) I like it more than the last time.

The Colombian is one of the sets I am using on my Centaur. Both, attractive design and very nice to play with.
Very, very nice....Btw,love the gorgeous wood grain on that table, not to mention some interesting wooden looking boards on the left, rear background.
Man! You have great taste!

@magictwanger, thanks! The board you can see in the back is one of the nicest boards I have and will be featured on the cover of my upcoming book.

Intentionally or not, you showcased a wide collection of chess pieces. And the rook on f8 felt like floating at the first glance.

Well, I can hardly help it. My place is full of chess sets wherever you go. And this is the table in my chess room. What you see in the background is but a small part of my collection.

@danlerner66 Perhaps you have not yet stumbled upon Dr. Holger Langer’s Website in which he features many of the sets he has pictured in the background?
I often marvel at the amount of care and detail he goes into to photographically display his sets, patiently share his knowledge on these Forums, and even author scholarly articles/book(s) (about chess sets). I’m sure if you do some digging you’ll find his book, website (here), and even a YouTube video interview of him.
Our community is lucky to have him!! 👍🏽👍🏽 Clearly, there is good reason why he is a hero to so many.

Thank you for sharing! Didn't see that earlier. And yes, the photography and the sets look amazing! Will take some time to admire the collection
I had some extra time on my hands today, so I decided to take some pictures of one of my sets. So here it is. It’s a great little set, good weighting. Sheesham and Boxwood. Hope you enjoy it.
