Could you please help identify this 'Intel World Chess' set?

Hi there, I picked up this chess set in near perfect condition at a thrift store in the UK. I wasn't sure if it was some kind of slightly fancy promotional set, or maybe even something from a tournament, but I thought maybe someone might have some insights.

Could it be a promotional set sold during the 1995 world championship match? Intel Corp was really pushing chess back then, read about it in the link below:
