One thing is for certain - if he were any good at chess, he would have mentioned it a million times on TwitterX by now. The fact he says chess is "too simple" with "not enough squares" suggests he is not a very good player at all and is just giving excuses - he probably tried it a couple of times, lost both games, then never played it again so he could protect his ego.
