Yes, Mr. Gupta is the person who emailed me.

Ogouriev, keep in mind that there is often a time limit on disputing a transaction. If you feel you want to do that and you have a well documented case (pictures, email contact with merchant), give Chess Bazaar a final deadline and then proceed quickly. The success of a dispute hinges on your ability to properly document your case. It's time intensive, but it has saved my butt on two occasions before. I am infinitely grateful for those credit cards. They can be a wonderful tool that protects your rights as a consumer.

Seems like Chess Bazaar is selling off this board at a "discount" now. If it's the same level of quality like the one I received, then 45% off is NOT a good deal in my view. Still expensive for the level of craftsmanship you get.

Truly appalling quality. Definitely a supplier to avoid based on your experience. Thanks for sharing.

Even at their "supposed" discount,it's no bargain.....I bought the Sheesham version of that exact board 3 years ago,for $169.00 shipped and I fully realize prices have risen....but...$218 for a crummy version?

I must say that the Sheesham one I got is flawless and one of the jewels of my collection.I gave C.B. a good review, because I was quite surprised by how much was put into my own board.

Apparently and not surprisingly, they continue to be consistently inconsistent.

It's pretty sad, because C.B. is capable of turning out some really fine stuff......Once in a while.
