Hi all,

after some research looking for parts I decided build the DGT 3000 Bluetooth gateway for Chessconnect, from https://dgt3000-gw.tednet.fr/ and its a small and great piece of hardware and software.
I you have a DGT 3000 probably you will know that this chess clock has a I2C port normally used to connect with the DGT e-board, but this port can be used also to connect with third hardware like in this case.

With the bluetooth gateway the DGT 3000 will show the times of the game that you are playing, the movements of your oponent and even is able to send your movements when you push the lever of the clock, an all of this in a very small piece of hardware that you can build by yourself for less than 5€.

You will have several options to build it, external, like my case or internal inside the clock. One side is connected to the clock through the 3.5 jack connector and the other side to a power supply through USB connector, in my case a powerbank.

Its a real good adition to your online chess set, many thanks to Trotue and Jörn Gehring for give us those great pieces of harware and software, ChessConnect & DGT3000 Bluetooth Gateway.

How do the clock buttons work with this? Do you need to push it for both sides? I noticed on their demo video they had it configured in some way that you only needed to hit your side of the clock and it automatically sprang back for the opponent's side.

Yes, buttons need modification if you want to use it, this is a configutation option, if not used time change when your opponent or you move the pieces.

Could you please describe this modification? Maybe you can add some more pictures with that modification?

Thanks!
