DGT 3000 custom program - saved, but not really

Hi,

I set up a custom program in DGT 3000 LE in our club, where we play 1h 30 m + 15 minutes + 30s/move bonus. So typical tournament setup but with 15 extra minutes instead of 30 extra minutes (which is in Option 13 of the DGT 3000).

After turning off the device, the custom program is saved. Great. BUT. I can't immediately press the "Play/Pause" button, like with any other default programmed Option. Nope, when I press the button, it asks me to go through the setup once again, with the same remembered values. This is annoying that I need to press multiple times the "Next" button until I will get back to the same screen which I had just after turning on the device, but now with the option to press "Play/Pause" button. In DGT 2010 the custom setup was remembered and could be used immediately, after turning the device on.

Does anyone know how to deal with that issue in DGT 3000?

Ok, I have found out, that after turning it on, you only need to press the "Next" button once and then you can already press the "Play/Pause" button to be back on the main screen of that setup, ready to select sides (black/white) and the next press on the "Play/Pause" button will start the game.

So with custom programs, there is only one extra step to do. Fine enough happy.png.

Thanks for sharing your solution--I also was annoyed to have to "Next" through the bazillion digits of each time setting... nervous.png

Edit: I did the math (approx., as I don't remember exactly by heart and was too lazy to go and fetch my clock): 2 players x 4 digits per setting x (1 main time + 1 extended time + 1 increment) = 24 times of pressing "Next".

And there is no information on the internet about it grin.png. I just felt resigned and started to play with the buttons grin.png. I thought: "No way that the referees are coming hour before larger tournament witch custom setup to click 24 times x amount of tables in the tournament" grin.png

Cool!!

This was something that annoyed me too and my workaround was to press and hold the next button until it had gone through everything.

I was "todays year old" when I learned that it just needs the one press and then you can hit start! 😂

Thanks for sharing!! 👍👍

OMG, thank you guys grin.png. If I would make a global discovery, I want DGT to name it "Zbieraj's mode" grin.png.

@zbieraj thank you so much for this! I was just struggling with the same thing
