Ah, well at least that's something. It'd be great if it was built in too. What happens if you make the wrong opponent move?
DGT Play is Enabled in chess.com Beta

Is there any way of getting an audio announcement of moves yet or do you still have the check the screen?
There is a browser extension for google chrome which adds voice move announcements, you can choose between a plain voice, or Danny Rensch being silly.
Can you point me to where I can find this browser extension please. I can't find it and I would like the moves announced as well!

I think you move the pawn to the promotion square then replace it with a piece of your choice. That's what I have been doing!
Thanks for the response, I tried that but it was not working. I tried a few more times and I think I was just not leaving the new piece in place longer enough to be recognised. It appears to require a bit more time than over moves. I actual found you can just remove the pawn and put the new piece on directly, no need to move the pawn to the promotion square. I think in general the dgt board integration works well with the audio announcement extension, just could do with a sound when you have not entered your opponents move correctly

Make sure you have your Piece Notation in settings on Chess.com set to TEXT! Because if it is set to FiGURINE, it won't announce the piece you are moving. It needs the text to pick up which peice you are moving!

Hi, I wonder if there is a possibility, when one plays with a DGT board, to hear the moves of the opponent, instead of have to look at the screen. I know that it is possible to be warned by a sound, but hearing the move would be better. Is there such a possibility, or is such a refinement on the cards?

I think the only way to achieve that is to use the Chrome browser to access the site. There is apparently a Chrome extension for announcing the moves.
This would be great built into Chess.com itself

I posted the answer to this a few posting above your question!

Yes, we all "get it". None of us are writing it or coding it. We are all just other users trying to help you out. Get it?

I tried out the connection and it works well overall! Here's a video on how to set it up with some actual play. I recommend 15 minute games or longer although in my demonstration I did 5 minute rated live chess.

Follow the instructions in the video; see above post #64 from chesshouse. The video also states which browsers to use, software to download and a chrome plugin for a voice commentary (announces your opponents moves). I set up my DGT earlier tonight as per the video and got my first online game using the DGT Board. I lost but very happy to be able to use a real chesss board.
