DGT Play is Enabled in chess.com Beta

I have found that I have to go through a very specific start up or it can be unstable where moves don't register or are slow. This is the way I do it. I start the dgt chess app on my laptop. I choose the eboard, check the checkbox and selct the board so I can see it on the app. I then start my browser (I use microsoft edge) then I go to chess.com and I mouse over the little hand and pawn icon and I choose live chess. Then I click the play button. Believe me, if I click on the play icon from the front page of the site or start the game in any other way, it often doesn't work properly. But when I do it in the above way, it works flwlessly every single time.

I also seen where the newer versions of the DGT E-Boards come with USB-C ... I just received mine brand new from Chess House, full price and its old USB not USB-C. Advertised to be significantly faster and more responsive. Do you have USB-C or older version and when you do the said above mentioned process is it also responsive and prompt?

ProtectYoNeck

That worked for me BTW and Chess Commentary extension worked amazingly!

Thanks Wolf!

I now have the USB C plastic smart board, def much faster and smoother than my USB wood board which I returned.

I cannot find the beta option in my settings. Has it changed?

Hey, check out an app I developed for playing with DGT board on Chess.com

On Mac OS, I have tried it with Firefox and Chrome. Its hit or miss. The moves are sometimes recognized and other times not. The DGT Live chess software always get the position correctly, just that chess.com does not pick it up. @amitassaraf1 , thanks for your app. I tried it and it certainly works better than chess.com but even there at one point it just stopped getting the moves.

Thanks!

I read somewhere that you have to be a member for at least 30 days and earned activity points to see the beta option. Just want to know if that is still necessary. And yes, I'm posting this to get some points ;-)

chesshouse

As far as I know that’s still true.

kn8stour

Many thanks for your swift response, chesshouse. Seconds after I sent my previous post the option was enabled. Have still a great day!

Help! I can't get my DGT board to work again. It worked for awhile but not now. The DGT setting is on and live chess is working and registering moves but I never get a message that my board is connected on Chess.com. Another thing is I never had a beta option even when it was working. It works fine on Lichess.

does anyone know if the chess.com app for iOS and Android is now supporting Boards from DGT or Millennium?

Boydcarts
You can now use a Millennium board If you have their ChessLink accessory.

We can dream 🛌 💭

Yes, Millennium boards are now supported on Chess.com Android App.  iOS is almost here as well. Probably a few weeks behind.  We'll publish a video in the next week or so.

Millennium boards supported will be Exclusive, Performance, and Tournament because they interface with the Link device which adds bluetooth capability.

Please update when you hear more as I really want a physical board that can play on chess.com and maybe sometimes the other site.  But I am 100% iOS.  The DGT Pegasus will do the job but no app released yet and the product keeps getting delayed!.....but the Pegasus looks more like a cheap portable solution.

I would rather go the Millennium route and have a nice wooden board.

Does anybody know if it is possible to play against the Engines (Bots) with Chesslink on a King Performance Millenuim board on chess.com, or is it simply online play against human opponents.
