Difference between smart boards

Hey all!

I’m wanting to pick up a smart board to help me play and learn on, originally I was going to pick up the Chessnut Evo but recently I’ve seen the gochess mini release that also has AI learning features (just without the tablet built in) and seems to be getting good reviews (I know they have abit of controversy on their robot board kickstarter recently but the gochess mini seems to be well received)

My question is - the evo is much more expensive and big because of the inbuilt tablet - are the training features in the evo anything special or is it basically the same kinda tech as the gochess mini, just with an android tablet built in?

Thanks for any help!

Well! That depends on quite a few factors. If you are looking for a casual play, need a portable board, and can go on with the need to connect to a smartphone or tablet app for accessing chess.com like platforms, gochess mini is good. However, for advanced piece recognition and multi-platform support without needing to connect to an app, Evo is better.
