Oh, that's a beautiful one. Nice wood grain selection. The collector in me wants to purchase it even though I neither have chess pieces that remotely fit that board nor do I plan on purchasing large pieces to fit the board.

Based on the nominal rule of thumb, a suitable King's base diameter for this board would be 2.75 * 0.75 = 2.0625 inches = 2-1/16 in., or approximately 2 inches

Ah okay, but I think you should buy the board. Such board in that condition doesn't come along that often and you never know when you'll get pieces with 2" base.
Usually we buy stuff that we think are useless. Most of the time they are but not this board. You'll see you'll have use for it soon.
