I been to the site that sells them along with the wood version but, its real confusing. Any body have the plastic version? If so what is the King height? The wood version is really great looking but, the price is way too steep for me. Thanks!

If they're using the same mold, the King height appears to be 3.5" (89 mm). However, if you can afford it, the wooden ones manufactured by NOJ are totally worth it. One of my favorite sets to play with. Here's my set (w/ 4" K):

Hi Frank:

Of course I love your 4" Dubrovnik set, but can you tell me about your beautiful chess board? It looks vintage.

Yes, it's vintage. 2.25" squares w/ maple/mahogany inlays. Super-massive, very heavy. No maker's mark, but looks to have been been built professionally.

I bought the Dubrovnik plastic set from a website in Slovenia.

I must say I like these pieces very much. The tree set is too expensive but the plastic do fine.

I have a plastic Dubrovnik set as well purchased in Slovenia. It was 40.00 USD shipped. The colors are tan & black. There is no shine to the pieces which I like & nicely weighted. The bottoms of the pieces needs improvement. I bought this before Chess Bazaar came up with the wood pieces. See Jonas review on youtube. Very nice & fair review.
