e-board demo

So, I made a few e-boards.

The goal was to produce a version of the DGT e-board suitable for young scholastic players (they are rough on the pieces and board), so I want to use cheap plastic pieces.

The demo board can store 1000 plys with turn-time information or 2000 plys without, assuming each game is about 100plys, that means 10 to 20 games before needing to download to computer.

My first attempt at picture-in-picture didn't work too well, so just play both videos concurrently on your screen.  Start the second video at 4:31 of the first.

Software bugs in the demo have been fixed; What? Me test/pre-run a demo? Never !  Ok, only for my hobby projects like this one : )

I've also finished the USB memory support.  The chessboard can now write its games into an USB drive.  Imagine, having an e-board at the park where you and a friend can play chess with your own pieces (so the park doesn't have to woory about lost pieces); then get the game PGN by plugging in your own USB thumb drive.

I might also demo some other e-boards that I made.  The hall effect sensor e-board is nice like the induction eboard in that the top board can be anything non-magnetic.  This allows for very durable e-boards, i.e. totally sealed, with a top printed plastic board or just require the players to bring their own boards too.  Little maintenance cost to the park; let it run on solar, no connection to anything needed.
