Engine Tourn.- Rybka 3.0 wins, Fireb. 2nd

Last week an Engine Tournament was arranged in Thüringen, Germany. All established chess engines participated.

The nine-round tournament gave some interesting outcomes. The various engines had their own opening books, but the stronger engines usually came out of the openings without major disadvantages. Some of the match-ups became multi-move extravaganzas, as engines sought to exploit minuscule advantages.
