Answer 40 seems to go with problem 42. I don't know what the others are for.
Errata in Reinfeld's "1001 Winning Chess Sacrifices and Combinations"

Ah, I didn't catch that. Man, am I gonna have to go through the answers and sort them? That sucks.
(41) should be Bb1! etc
(42) who knows....
Looks like a simple misnumbering of the solutions...quite common....

This is what happens when you have the 91st edition of a great book converted into algebraic (about time)

40 & 42 are switched. 41 is Bb1 instead of Bg1.
so it's complete, just out of order & with 1 typo ;-)
recognizing patterns is important :-)
Excellent! Thanks a bunch. I am trying to do 100 of these per day, and I didn't have the time to look at it and figure it out. As soon as I saw Bg1, I assumed it was an asnwer that had been switched with another; I hadn't considered it to be a typo. I appreciate it, friend.
I bought the "21st Century Edition" of Reinfeld's "1001 Winning Chess Sacrifices and Combinations" and I can't believe it but it seems like some of the solutions have nothing to do with the problem.
Does any have a list of errata/correct solutions for this book?
