For a smaller set (3" - ish king), I would add 2 sets to your mix:
"Galaxy" set, by houseofchess.com, many woods to choose from:

"Antik" set, by straightupchess.com, Ebony/Boxwood:

Both are spectacular sets, selling for way less than they otherwise should.
I have noticed that there are a very few exceptional Chess sets available, usually one from each company.
What do I mean by an exceptional Chess set?
Here is what I mean:
1. The set is really, really nice and well done.
2. The price is outright inexpensive, cheap even.
3. The quality of the set is comparable to sets a lot more expensive. And sets that are in the same price range are definitely not as nice.
4. These sets are not common in a company's offerings. Usually there is only one set offered by the company that could be classified as exceptional.
Here are a few sets that I believe fall into this exceptional category:
1. The House of Staunton, Players Series set.
This set is priced at $139 for the Ebonized and Golden Rosewood versions and $179 for the Rosewood model. Of course there is at least a 10% discount always available, and often more.
This set is easily as nice as some of my sets, and those of others that I have seen, selling for $300 - $500.
2. The Chess Bazaar Soviet Latvian set. The following pictured is "borrowed" from cgrau in a thread he started about this set.
This set is a remarkable reproduction of the Soviet Latvian set that Arlindo and cgrau have called "Tal's favorite". Of course it has become my favorite of the Soviet sets as well.
The expert collectors on this forum have claimed that this reproduction is very accurate to the original except for actual improvements in the size and weight of the set for better use.
And, once again, this is definitely an inexpensive purchase. It lists on Chess Bazaar for $135.99 and with their current Backorder Sale the set is selling for $101.99 which includes shipping anywhere. This set is arguably comparable to others selling well over $200.
3. The Official Staunton Company Paul Morphy Series set.
This is a 3.5" King set that, like the HoS Players Series, is comparable to sets selling over $250. This set comes in both Ebonized and Sheesham. I own both and I'm here to tell you that this set plays as nicely as the Player Series but in a smaller size.
While Carl has brought the price up to $180 list, it has recently been on sale for well under $90.
Now, I really like/love my Noj GM Pavasovic, Dubrovnik II, and BCE Walnut sets. And I really like my HoS Morphy Series (over $850), Marshall Series, and FIscher-Spassky Commerative sets. But while they are all very, very nice, they are also more expensive. Yes, you do get what you pay for with these sets.
However the exceptional sets give a lot nicer quality for the dollar spent.
Do you have any sets that you feel are exceptional?
