A quick update, I sold another set and it was $25 shipped in the US, so I’m assuming each of these sets will be in that $25-30 shipped range.

I put a price for the first time, $275 shipped.
The JLP box alone would be $200+ the custom woodworking, this is a steal!

@VBerriz, let me know if you are open to selling the box separately; I'm sure I'll want somewhere nice to store the pieces that I just ordered from Oldset! (If I were you I'd probably prefer to sell them together, so totally get it if not).

Hello forum members. I just picked up a very disturbing Facebook post with unfortunate and terrible news. Andrey (Oldset) has died fighting for Ukrainian forces. I am lucky to have two of Andrey’s very impressive sets and also proudly own some pieces in an inexpensive set that he made whole by souring several missing pieces right at the beginning of the conflict in his country. What a waste.

He was a talented carver, and valiant patriot, to say the least. It's tragic to hear of his passing, and my heart goes out to Ukraine, his loved ones, friends, this community, and anyone he made a positive impact on. Regretfully, I never jumped at the opportunity to purchase one of his creations, but I've admired his work for some time now. Rest in peace, @Oldset.

I am unbelievably saddened to hear of Andrey’s passing, I’m hoping he is now playing some games with the greats in Heaven.
@chesslover0003, you are correct - that was a Biro Sandor set, I had several for sale and ended with only the two at the top. These are no longer available.
This set for sale is an absolute masterpieces; custom commissioned for me, made by Andrey (Oldset) in Ukraine, with a quality rivaling Noj of Slovenia. His store is now closed due to his army service, so these pieces are likely impossible to find in the future.
A custom Regency period (pre-Staunton) set, in maple/black stained maple. The king is 4.4” tall, with a base diameter of 1.5”, so this is perfectly suited for 2-2.25” chessboards. It is gorgeous, and comes with something absolutely unique; a JLP maple/walnut box that was sent to a talented woodworker in Kansas, who added an additional 1/2” walnut/maple/walnut border to give it the additional height to accommodate this set. It matches the JLP craftsmanship perfectly, and is a delight to have on your shelf!

Regency: Oldset $370 , JLP box $180, custom woodworking on box $100. I’m not looking for $650 for this set, make me an offer!
Edit: looking to sell these for $275 shipped in the US. That’s basically the JLP box at retail, and the Regency pieces at $75!
