Fritz 11 Questions

I was considering buying fritz 11, but I am a student so I don't make a lot of money.  Lets assume for these purposes that I can make $10 a week.  Is it worth it to buy Fritz?  There are some specific questions I have.

  1.  Is is the game analysis good/easy to use? (It works on pgn right?)
  2. How does Fritz compare to other programs such as Shredder?
  3. If Shredder is better, does it make a significant difference to buy Deep Shredder?

Any feedback is helpful.

Edit: Lets forget the money part and assume I have enough extra money (I may not make a lot, but I don't often buy anything either)

If your budget is that limited, you can download the Arena user-interface and the Toga II engine for free. The Arena UI is not as slick as Fritz, but Toga II is a stronger engine than Fritz or Shredder. Save your chess money for books, training software, or coaching. :)
