Not sure showing a set costing more than 100 bucks calls for that reaction.
According to some clowns on here I am a buyer, seller, master of chess and scotch gambit expert therefore I must know better what is chess as a game and what is meant by a quality chess set.
Probably just a misunderstanding, happens quite a bit, I have had a couple myself.
Here is a set I've been looking at. Sold by house of chess on Amazon, currently for 84 bucks.

Saw those btw, wasnt crazy about the knights, seemed to take up too much space, you like them?
You are right the knights are too large but the overall price is OK. You can find much better quality chess set than that for sure. I have played with hundreds of chess sets (may be over even one thousand) and I have developed a taste and understanding of what counts as good quality chess set. There are many chess sets out there that look great but in reality and when they are in your hands may feel totally different and vice versa.

I've tried to give Chess Opera the benefit of the doubt, but he is not cool. A guy posts a thread asking about sets under $100 and he replies with a set that costs over $250? What kind of BS is that? In the thread about the FIDE sets he makes these stupid claims about what is real and what is fake without any backup and not answering any questions to support his stupid accusations.
Chess Opera I would suggest that you do yourself more harm than good posting here. The least you could do is post your true commercial intentions and business affiliation on your profile. Nothing wrong with being a business man as long you are transparent. Then I would suggest you make a reputation of being a knowledgeable and trust worthy member here, but its probably too late for that.
