Yes, I have and it was quite a transformation. I had "sealed" a "bleeder" of crimson staining on my own using a semi-gloss polyurethane spray finish. The results were quite impressive.

I also applied the polyurethane spray finish to my ebonized Romanian Hungarian set with great results.
