If it's within ur budget, id suggest getting levy rozman (Gotham chess)'s How to win at chess book. Also "bobby fischer teaches chess" and IM Jeremy Silman's Complete book of chess strategy might be good choices
i started from scratch too and reaching 1000 elo is totally doable. for books maybe look into "Logical Chess: Move by Move" or "Chess Fundamentals." i actually found these for free on https://z-library.sk/ . just download and study from there, saved me some money
Hey everyone,
I am new to chess, (dont be fooled by the "joined on" date, cuz I made it long time ago and then left, but I am back to chess now and wanna grow).
I am currently 350 Elo in Rapid and I want to atleast reach 1000 Elo (Rapid) by the end of this year.
Please suggest me how I should work on my game and if there are ANY good chess books u guys know that I should be looking to buy as a complete beginner.
Also, I'd appreciate any other way to improve my game if u guys have any additional tips for me.
Best,
