Hey, there are not just two knights to chose from, first I have to chose a set. But I decided on this 70´s design (by swedish designer Rune Viking).
Then my right hand gripped the b knight and put it down on c3.
Now I understand your comment on "Knights on parade" when I posted a small plastic knight which looks exactly like the one in your Rune Viking set - at the time I googled it and didn't get results and now your picture is worth more than 1000 words!
A very nice set.

Move a horse, said my brain, and so I did. For the sake of symmetry I chose the King´s Knight (since I´d already developed the Queen´s Knight). KKnB3 or, in modern lingo, Nf3.
These, unweighted Plastic Fantastic, chessmen are made in Europe (as I beleive in Poland), eminently playable, robust and cheap. At 9,50 euro per set (roughly the same in USD) they offer a lot of bang for the buck. I bought mine and the vinyl board from Le Due Torri in Italy.

Seven pawns making a number seven on the board. Hmmm... Is my uberbrain trying to tell me something? Move seven pawns? Can´t do that. Move a pawn to the seventh rank? Can´t do that either. Move pawn number seven, that beeing the g pawn? Hmmm...

The g pawn? Really?! Nah, of course my brain neither tries to cheat nor issues such daft instructions. e4 is the move (I hope)!

The set is my trusty plastic, magnetic, travel set. Cheap and well made. King height 68 mm, board measures 30x30 cm and each square 35x35 mm. Large enough for play, small enough for easy transport.

Bishops is the message, correct! I am already using a photo I saved of a pocket set, to keep it plastic fantastic
