Has the FIDE Chess set (knight) design changed?

I remember the early slim knight design..

Here Anand v Carlsen with it (update: I've seen Anand v Carlsen with the next knight version too)

But now the tournament has this knight similar to the one other manufacturers reproduced

Which knight is similar to this repro..

Has Pentagram/FIDE changed the design or maybe they always procured pieces from India and there is a variety to expect?

Nothing has changed. Dont get why they advertise it that way, probably same reason why they bumped the price up for 200 bucks.

At least the Knights have changed.

It is obvious how different they are in the pictures.

I have a genuine one, and Knight is different depending on an angle you look at it from. Looks slim if you look at it from the distance and when you sit at the board, it looks fat.

Looking at the profile, from the side, the original one shows more of a cut-out to the front body and neck.

Those Knights all look similar to me, but there was an earlier version of the set which had a completely different Knight, not slim like that.
