Help identifying vintage Italian Staunton set (LADEL?) / Wood identification

Hi everyone! I have these chess pieces, but unfortunately, I don't know much about them. I would love to identify the type of wood they are made of and find out if they have any collectible value.

Here are the details:

Style: Staunton

Size: The King height is 9 cm (approx. inches).

Weight: They are weighted and felted.

The Box: They came in a wooden dovetailed box with an old label reading: "Scacchi Staunton - Legno scolpito finitura antica", "Made in Italy", "LADEL (Lozzo Cadore)", and "Art. 304/D" meaning: "Staunton chess - carved wood, antique finish"

Honestly, I am not 100% sure if the box is originally from these exact pieces, though they seem to fit perfectly.

If anyone has any information about this LADEL manufacturer, can help identify the wood, or knows their potential value, I would greatly appreciate your insights! Thanks in advance!

Honestly, it looks like a French set to me. Search Glass-eyed knight chess set. There are many variations, but these knights carvings are a common variation.
