Get what you like, as long as it's tournament legal.
I'm about to order one of those package deals, where you get the board, the pieces, the bag, everything at a decent price.

I have a mousepad set with pieces that I like, but they're rather old and I need an update.
Is there a huge difference between the board from the USCF versus ChessCentral? The price difference is throwing me for a loop.
Also, getting basic tournament pieces (weighted though, at least), would this be normal from the plastic chess set page on USCF?
I was also thinking that getting the green color scheme would be more appropriate, by virute of it being more "normal" - i.e. the cheap green vinyl tournament boards. I kind of like the black better; it's what I have right now and looks better (matches Black of the pieces). Thoughts? Get what I like or what I will see more often...?
Anyways, just looking to get a cheap tournament set and maybe replace the one I use daily. Thanks for the feedback!
