I have Fritz2 and run it on XP without a DOS emulator. However, I think you are correct for Vista and 7.
Aren't there good free chess engines? Isn't Houdini or Rybka free? Why stick with the 10 year old program?
Yes, there are plenty of good, free chess engines, but some people enjoy a nostalgic experience from time to time. WChess, Zarkov, RexChess, the old Rebel programs, Chessmaster 2100, etc.
