How many chess boards/sets you own?

I've got six sets of pieces and five boards, I think, plus the early 90s chess computer currently buried under a pile of rubbish at my parents' house. Three of these are cheap travel sets; I've got a 2.5" Lardy I use for analysis, and then a couple of niceer ones.
I am really just starting out as a collector.

18 tournament size sets....3 travel sets....three nice boards....Oh! and 13 books.
I have one more set lined up,but will wait until winter to acquire it.

Collecting, mainly antique sets, >200 and counting.

Seriously, that's impressive. I "only" have 4. The one I learned on, from over 30 years ago. One with a vinyl board and plastic pieces, also very old, that I used for tournaments, and a nice showpiece one in the den. The fourth is in progress. The board is actually a very large tree stump that is being carved out for the board. I don't know what the pieces will be yet.

I have one full sized main set, one library size study set, one travel set and one plastic set when playing against my GM blitz cat. That was the original idea and I failed miserably.

I thought for sure you had more than me. I really dig your Garde clock though.

Thanks for the offer, but I still feel fine and my marriage is not yet in danger! Actually, 200 sets is nothing compared to serious collectors. I have collector friends who easily have a multiple of that. Former CCI president Thomas Thomsen told me that in the late 90's he had some 800 sets and I am sure that he did purchase some more since then. And if you take a look at Jon Crumiller's website you will at least see 600-700 high quality sets and I am quite sure that not all of his sets are shown on his website (at least 10-20 % of my sets are not yet shown on my own website and I think I have purchased at least 10-15 sets since I took the picture above - a common problem of work in progress). And then there are the (huge) collections which are not or rarely sharing their collections in public (Gareth Williams, Michael Mark, George Dean, Halvor Jaeger to name just a few) or the anonymous collections out there.

Hence the words failed miserably lol but most of my sets are cheap or used french sets. I am already starting selling my sets though, trying to get to my original idea as close as possible.
This old Garde clock is really run of the mill clock here on local Craigslist. You can get it from 35 euro to 100 euro. I've seen plenty ones in mint condition with in-house movement version going for 50-60 euro. Ebay is crazy they're asking double.
I got mine for 30 euro, the DDR version in original box and hardly used if used at all.
Suddenly,my 21 set collection seem miniscule!
My marriage is also fine...but....my wife thinks I'm nuts.....It's been that way since the mid 70's.-

My original plan was to have one nice wood set. That was it. I failed miserably too.
I saw some Garde clocks recently going for way more than 60 euro. I am not sure I would buy one even at 60 euro but if it was 30 then maybe. I always really liked analog clocks. It just says classic chess compared to the digital ones.
I was just wondering if some of you own multiple boards or if some are into collecting. Also, if you have pics of your collections I would love to see those.
Thanks!
