Hi, I own a bunch of chess books (Dvoretsky's endgame manual, his school of chess excellence series). How should I learn from them?

Really helpful stuff.

Study while making the moves on a chessboard (either a physical board or using the Chess.com or lichess.com online analysis board)....try to understand, not memorize, 'why?' after every move...

Try to understand the purpose of the moves, and try to visualise the board as far as possible

Thanks to everyone, I didn't expect such great responses. I already had the board, as well as the books, and I started writing notes into a notebook, sort of like taking notes in school, while reading and playing the moves on the board. And again, I'd like to thank everyone, namely Llama_l. Great stuff!
