How to study Chess Opening Books the most efficient way?

I recently bought MC0-15 and wanted to have a closer look of some Openings (Vienna, Caro Kann, Sicilian). For right now I recreate the scenarios with the practice tool on chess.com. I wonder if there are better ways to study the different lines and variations of those openings.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

I've wondered about this too.  I think the Practice -> Openings tool is the best thing on Chess.com for this.  Stockfish will give you a randomized (but good) response allowing you to test yourself on variations.  But I'm sure that one of the other websites has a better tool for this purpose.
